Stories and Strains for the Enlightened

History

  • High End Farms officially opened its doors in September of 2017 but is by no means new to the cannabis industry. CEO Haider Tareen started HEF with 2 partners from the engineering world and his chemist brother. They brought decades of growing experience and experimentation, along with decades of experience as control engineers, computer programmers, and solution providers.

  • Throughout the years, Haider has spent many hours contributing to the online cannabis forums and the medical marijuana market, which has continued his growth and passion for cannabis into the recreational market. The combination of science, art, and passion is what keeps High End Farms standing out as a top-quality brand. Haider also brought with him many of his close friends and family members to run the business.

  • When launching the brand in 2018, there were many challenges to face as a small company in a heavily competitive market. As a craft cannabis brand, High End Farms strives to produce quality over quantity. High End Farms earned its spot as a WA cannabis brand through consistency and care for high-quality cannabis. This is achieved through a scientific-based approach to sustainable growing and a focus on cultivating the best cannabis strains available.

Growing

  • High End Farms growing style is a collaboration of two brothers with decades of experience between themselves. From start to finish, many techniques are employed to create the finest quality of cannabis. Diamond-quality cannabis.

  • As an Indoor grower with closed-air rooms, HEF can control every facet of the growing environment, including light, humidity, temperature, and CO2. No aspect is overlooked. Even the soil is developed to be a living soil to naturally feed nutrition to the plants and prevent pests and disease. The living soil approach also allows us to reuse our soil again and again while continuing to build soil health and microbe diversity. We also add nutrition to the soil after each harvest by adding natural products such as alfalfa meal and kelp meal. This approach allows us to not rely on synthetic chemical fertilizers to maintain optimal nutrition in our plants. We build the soil and the soil builds the plants. Plants are tended and trained individually by hand to allow the growers to keep a constant eye on the product.

  • This also allows for trichomes to be monitored for peak maturity so plants can be harvested at the best possible time for flavor and quality. Once harvested, Buds are lined dried in a cool, dark room, and slow cured to maximize terpene retention and smoothness. To preserve the beautiful buds grown, High End Farms’ flower is always hand-trimmed to ensure the highest quality of marijuana is being provided to the cannabis community of Washington

Pesticides

  • We don’t want to spray chemicals on our plants, because we don’t want to smoke chemicals. So we focus heavily at High end Farms on the safest approach to pest management possible. We only spray plants in the young stage as a preventative maintenance procedure. Therefore, no spray is left on any foliage going into the flowering stage. We also only use naturally safe product to spray, such as horticultural oils (ie. thyme oil, rosemary oil). If unwanted pests do find their way into the rooms, predatory insects are always on the hunt to find them. We grow Purple Thai Basil as a companion plant for each room, to house the Orius Beetle that hunts out pests such as thrips and mites. They’re a great security team!

Pheno-hunts

  • Pheno hunting is the selection of new cannabis genetics and varieties from germinating seeds, growing them to flower, and keeping each seed in clone form and labeled. Just like kids from the same parents don’t turn out alike, seeds from the same parent plant can all differ in smells, looks, growth, and all other factors of the plant. Over time, cannabis growers have referred to these different seed variations as "phenos,"  and the term pheno-hunting came about.

  • Through pheno hunting and rare genetic collection, High End Farms also takes great care in strain selection to bring out the best of the best for the Washington cannabis market. Our strain names may be seen from other farms, but since we hunt our own seeds, our phenotypes are distinct to us only.
  • With 30 strains always growing, the new strains making the cut must be amazing in order to drop out an existing menu strain. Which has led us over the years to refine our library to be some of the finest cannabis around, in flavor and effects. It also gives diversity to have a library of strains that has something for all different tastes.

Products

  • High End Farms focuses mainly on its passion to top-quality flower. We offer a variety of products from the flower we grow. In our jars and bags is always the best of the buds. We offer our flower in 1g, 3.5g, 7g, 14g, and 28g units. Our pre-rolls are made of only small flower buds, never any leaf material.
  • The sugar leaf material along with other buds, go into ice water extracted hash that we use for our Infused pre-rolls. We use all the different stages of the plant to it’s best ability.
